Day #21

Breakfast:
French Toast Sticks
1 slice whole-grain bread
1/2 cup egg substitute
veggie spray
confectioners' sugar (I call it snow)
1 cup strawberries, sliced
1 tbs slivered almonds
3 slices turkey bacon.

Instructions: cut bread into sticks and soak in egg mixture. Spray pan with veggie oil, over medium heat, cook sticks. Sprinkle with snow and top with strawberries and slivered almonds, enjoy bacon on the side!

Lunch:
Taco Salad
3 oz cooked ground turkey meat
dash of cumin and chili powder
1 oz low fat cheese
1/2 cup diced tomato
1 cup shredded lettuce
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup salsa
1 corn tortilla
3tbs guac
1/2 cup grapes

I pre-cooked my turkey meat, but reheat on med heat and sprinkle in cumin and chili powder to spice it up. Place in bowl with other ingredients and enjoy grapes for desert!

Dinner:
TBD :)

Snack:
1/2 apple
1 oz cheese
1/2 tbs peanut butter

1/4 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup chopped pineapple
3 almonds

  1. well...since I woke up at noon today some of my food was off. I ended up not eating the second snack. For dinner I ate three cheese burger sliders without the bun, about a cup of fruit and 2 chips. We were at the "Dinosaur" show and a friend had a suite for us with lots of food. I am proud to say I made it work.
    Loved the breakfast and lunch though! I took the recipe for breakfast from the "week in the zone" book and it says it is 4 blocks. I don't see that. Do you guys?
