Day #13

Breakfast:
Mushroom Omelet;
Vegetable spray
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup button mushrooms
1/2 cup egg white substitute
1 tbs low-fat milk
1 oz low fat cheese
3 strips turkey bacon
1/2 cup fresh squeezed OJ :)
3 macadamia nuts

Spray pan with Veggie oil, heat over medium heat, saute mushrooms and onions about 10 min, remove. While mushrooms and onions are cooking mix together egg-white substitute and milk. Pour into empty pan. Let cook till set, then slowly lift up sides to help spread uncooked portion. Add in mushrooms and onions and cheese. Cook for another 2 min. Fold eggs in half and cook for another 2 min on each side. Serve bacon, juice and nuts on side.

Lunch:
Chef's Salad
1 cup green leaf lettuce
1/4 can black beans
1/2 cup mushrooms
1/3 cup cucumber
4 tbs slivered almonds
1 1/2 ounces deli style turkey cut into strips
1 1/2 ounces deli style ham cut into strips
1 ounce reduced fat cheese
Mix all together, use balsamic vinegar for dressing
For dessert: one medium apple

Dinner:
Cheeseburger-Protein style
3 oz. lean ground beef
1 oz low-fat cheese
1 tbs light mayo
1 tbs Catchup
1 pickle
1 thick tomato slice
Wrap burger in 2 lettuce leaves
Dessert:
2/3 cup unsweetened applesauce sprinkled with cinnamon

Snack:
1/2 zone bar

1 hard boiled egg
2 cups celery
1/2 tbs peanut butter.

  1. Today I was hungry and felt like crap...I attribute it to eating to many carbs yesterday....I think my measurements on the egg noodles were off. I am also fighting a cold but I think the hunger was cause I was off zone yesterday. Today was good, decided I am not a fan of this chef's salad. Need to tweak it more or quit trying it. Added in an extra cheese in the afternoon as I was growling and it was time for WOD. Didn't eat desert when we got together with friends at night, just stayed with my coffee, gotta love the coffee. Passing on dessert is a major thing for me...so I am proud. Drank all my water, 2 coffees, and 2 coke zeros...need to give up those cokes.
